Its not that i am refusing to answer. It is that I am bored of this conversation. Fuzzy is unable to deal with the grey. He is unable to understand why good people may vote for the Devil. I will give it one more shot then I am out.
If you were sitting in Germany in 1930, in a country crippled by repatriatrion payments for a war where no one in Europe was blameless, hyperinflation to the point where a basket of banknotes could barely buy you a loaf of bread, the great depression had taken your job or your house, when your country is basically defenceless because conscription was banned and your army was limited in the age of imperialism, your country had been carved up by the other empires, your natural resources were being stolen, there were several uprisings and your government the ''Weimar Republic'' was holding nothing together, maybe, JUST MAYBE, you might start thinking that this ''democracy thing'' isn't working out for you.
MAYBE when someone comes along promising your country will be powerful again, that your family won't starve, that you'll have a job, and yes, that the trains will run on time (which isn't literal btw, it means ''our infrastructure and logistics will actually work''), MAYBE you just might be tempted. Doesn't matter if those things are lies, people just know that what I have NOW is shit so what have I got to lose in trying?
Not everyone who supports a fascist government is a fascist. Sometimes they are just desperate. And I suspect that Fuzzy will never be able to understand this.
