Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

Are you sure that records began with "Last Christmas"? That is a relatively recent episode bearing in mind the show started in the 1960s.

Yeah, it seems some wires got crossed when I typed that. It was late so I didn't pay attention.

Nonetheless, still pretty good result for the new Doctor, all things considered. Let's see if his era can hold that momentum. At least Gatwa has more charm and personality than Jodie's Doctor.

I can agree with that. I think Jodie is one of the worst Doctors because imo she never FELT like a Doctor. She FELT like someone who was doing a bad cosplay. I just don't think she got the role and was a bad choice to try and sell the idea of a female Doctor Who.

Especially when they brought in Jo Martin as the Fugitive Doctor, she felt more like the Doctor than Jodie ever was.

Though, the writing should share the blame as well. The 13th Doctor's best stories were from the non-TV media like the novels and comics.

My favorite bit is when they act like no one watching it compare to the 9 and 10 doctor era as if the past almost twenty years haven't happened.

I really like Gatwa but so much of it depends on if the writing stays good. Like I loved Capaldi's Doctor and most of his supporting cast (never did warm to Clara), but I kept waiting for the actual adventures to improve and they never did. Main reason I gave up on Whittaker's Doctor three or four episodes in, I was just out of patience by then.
...for space is wide, and good friends are too few.
