So I'm replaying Dragon Age Origins again. Finished my run as an elf mage, now I'm alternating between human warrior and dwarven noble, with a bit of time in the city elf rogue storyline. I try to play my characters different but there's a lot of main choices I gravitate towards (Like not anulling the circle and using lyrium to save the kid in Redcliff instead of blood) but I try to mix it up a bit. Do you support Harrowmount or Bhelen, and why? Ever side with the werewolves against the Dalish? Ever kill Brother Genetivi? What are some choices you found particularly meaningful?
In my elf mage run, I refused to complete the scrolls of bannistor quest because, even though i play a blood mage, she doesnt' want anyone else to learn blood magic because she wants to be top necromancer. My loyalist mage, on the other hand, is just niave enough to buy the "I want to make sure nobody else is doing blood magic, totes, not researching it for my own purposes" excuse.

Re: Choices in DAO
I haven't replayed it for a long time because I always end up making the same choices and don't see any reason not to. Dwarf casteless man, end the werewolf curse, save the circle, circle helps at redcliff, brother in law Bhehlen on the throne and anvil destroyed, Alistair and Anora marry, Loghain becomes Gray Warden so he can die heroically in Inquisition, romance Morrigan do ritual and follow her in Witch Hunt so the big dramatic "someone has to die" turns into "live happily ever after raising his son with his wife".
I think the path crystalized because I was using it as basically a comfort show for a while.

I'm curious, why Morrigan? I usually fall for one of the bisexuals myself.

Because I like that ending and how it sets her up for Inquisition. If not for that the Warden would be a woman and romancing Leliana.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 5:27 am I'm curious, why Morrigan? I usually fall for one of the bisexuals myself.
I romance Solas every Inquisition run for the same reason.
All the romances in the DA series are so abstract and tame I can do that. I try playing a man or bedding a man in Baldurs Gate 3 (exception for Alistair, not sure why) and it weirds me out so much I have to stop.
