What happened to the parents responsibility to monitor their children?

How about Social Media sites having parental controls (if they don't have them already) where parents could monitor their activity if they choose to?
I got nothing to say here.

Seriously? Do they really think banning something will stop a Teenager? People will find a way around it if they get motivated enough.

Agreed when I let my neighbor's kids use my computer years back and I caught one of them looking at porn (they did this while I was in the other room) I put a block on and monitored what they were doing after that.

My parents did the same thing with myself and my brother. I don't think there were any parental blocks for the internet back in the 90's. But my Mom monitored what we did through either history (we were dumb kids but did learn from that) or looking at the list of the cookies.

My Dad pulled us to the side one day and basically said don't look at porn, I don't care if you do but don't get caught by your Mom.
