Now the US is striking back at Houthi locations who were launching missiles at ships. One of them being a US destroyer that used it's Phalanx defense system for the first time in action in almost 50 years. US and Britain are both making measured responses at certain targets that even though Houthi is being backed by Iran, they don't want escalate the situation by directly attacking Iran.
There will be more US strikes soon.
Really need to get Israel is back off before this gets seriously out of control.
Definitely, and should've happened before now. The USA's the only country capable of doing that but it doesn't seem interested in doing so. That can still be done whilst at the same time saying "do NOT attack us."
It should have been done earlier. Should have been done once Israel got their pound of flesh from the attack.
Its not just the US but many countries too. They are attacking ships in the shipping routes.
Last thing Israel should want is the withdrawal of US for them.

The real danger here is what we first saw in Ukraine: drones. They're cheap, they're plentiful, they're easy to maintain, they're disposable, they're easy to hide, and they are relatively hard to track. Now any nation can have an advanced air force with first strike capability and without the huge upkeep and logistics that a traditional air force requires. How long before one of these things is sent to New York or London? That is a very real possibility, and the thing is, these people won't care.
They're nowhere near that sort of range.
Yet. And you could just put them on the back of a boat with a low profile or give them to a domestic terrorist. They only need to be successful once.

Then it becomes no different to any other sort of terrorism we've lived with for years.
Suprised this hasn't been mentioned on here yet: Netanyahu rejects Hamas's ceasefire terms.

Yeah... that is giving the game away a little there. America needs to get tough, they are the only one who can stop this man.
I’m glad you’ve embraced the problematic realization of Israel’s response on the matter.
People are just hoping for some less civilian casualties, and it doesn’t help that the heads of state just kinda shrug their shoulders at the humanitarian concern.

I'm not going to pick over everything I've said for the last few dozen pages because I can't be bothered. Sorry, just being honest with y'all. I am not going to make up some lie.
But I will state this for the official record: you would have to be a legitamate psychopath to continue to back anything that is currently going on. Whatever excuse that once existed is dead and the West turned against Putin for much less than this.

I'd say Israel's heads of state aren't so much shrugging their shoulders at humanitarian concerns as they are cackling diabolically at them.
