I could do something that would make me very unpopular despite feeling very appropriate right now.

(Which is why I stay away from Twitter, or whatever it's called these days)

An active-duty American soldier just set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy to protest the ongoing genocide. What surprises me is apparently somebody else protested the genocide by self-immolation in December and got very little notice. https://apnews.com/article/israeli-cons ... a9b60605a5

Also, a cop pulled a gun on him while he was on fire, because cops are fucking useless when it comes to helping people.

One thing I’m curious about is how much consideration Biden has expressed towards Israel with professional/political implication. As far as I know, Israel has always been more of a diplomat affair involving Kissinger or a more international agent of the federal government.

I know Biden sure has more influence than the next guy, but how much control over the situation should we expect from him, and how much has he personally embraced Israel’s policies?

Israel has ambushed civilians waiting for food aid in what is being called "the flour massacre".

Based on this account, it seems more like an accident than a deliberate massacre.

An accident the IDF started.
Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

True. Even if it was an accident it still leaves you with the issue of how such an incompetent was put in such a position in the first place.
