Yeah, when Mako isn't being kinda a jerk he just boring.

The only two times I recall really liking him, him helping fight Amon, and when he broke up with Korra.

Mako would not exist.

Ergo, the show is made gayer and thus, better, because he isn't here to oppress everyone.
Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

Honestly I'd keep Mako in, but that's because I absolutely love Romantic Rivals to Lovers as a trope. It's one of the things I like so much about Korrasami and part of why it's my OTP.

I might be the wrong person for this, though, because I was shipping them ever since the racing scene.
