What is the best of Disney Star Wars?

I'm not really trying to ask what holds candles to Empire Strikes Back, but what movies or shows do you find promise in?
..What mirror universe?

Honestly, there's a lot to like in the Disney Era.

The first two seasons of The Mandalorian, Andor, I've heard Tales of the Jedi, Dooku was really good. Rise of the Resistance is my favorite Theme Park Ride ever and Smuggler's Run let me fulfill my childhood dream of piloting the Millennium Falcon and Galaxy's Edge as a whole is AMAZING. Rebels has a lot of great moment, the finale of The Clone Wars is one of the best stories in all of SW that brings the series to a satisfying if tragic ending and Ahsoka is really underrated IMO.

A long time ago I compared the Disney Era to the New 52 of DC comics as it just felt like the series had lost what made it fun and got all dark and felt so, joyless. Which is ironic because Disney was actively trying to recapture the magic of the Original Trilogy but never really understood what made those films work.

But in more recent years it feels like they're getting back on track. It's not perfect but the Lucas Era was hardly the bastion of perfection that some try to paint it out to be (I will hold to my opinion that Legacy of the Force is the Worst SW story ever made). However, I still feel it has a ways to go.

Star Trek has recently really pulled itself together after a few... iffy story choices but after season 2 of Picard the series has really found itself again with some great shows and seasons that are, IMO, just as good as anything from the TOS and TNG era. Star Wars hasn't quite gotten there yet but I think it's close and that there are plenty of good stories in this era.

I've enjoyed all of it other than the actual sequel trilogy that I've seen (I haven't read the comics or most of the new novels) but for the best it's Rogue One and Andor.

You know the worst part about the sequel Trilogy, I actually had high hopes for it at first. Sure The Force Awakens was a little to similar to A New Hope and I didn't much care for many story choices but I felt that many of those issues would be fixed in the sequels... then we got The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker and the whole thing went to poo poo.

It doesn't help that many of the ideas that Lucas had were honestly a lot more interesting then what we got even if flawed but by Lucas' own admission it was a VERY rough first draft but I think there was a lot of potential in the Lucas Originals. And it REALLY didn't help that many of the original ideas TDST did have were done so much better in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power showing what this Trilogy SHOULD have been start to finish.

Y'know what, I'm going to go with Visions. Skreecher's Reach especially in s2 is pretty much peak Star Wars. Even the less strong efforts are at least doing something interesting somewhere be it in world building or visually.

I've said it before but the sequel trilogy was doomed the moment they decided to do it as a round robin. No idea what they were thinking.

Rogue One to me was the best of the movies as it felt decent and left me upset the heroes died at the end.
Solo. . . I felt would have been fine if it was just a Star Wars story and not Han and Chewie. With those two it felt like someone was trying too hard to make Han into Star Lord instead of Star Lord is an homage of Han.

Rogue One and Andor.

Rogue One has its issues specifically the first half of it but that battle scene planet and in space is top notch. Also seeing Vader for really the first time going hard on the Rebels is nice even if it was fan service.

Andor I did like. Can't specify why. Just liked it.

Mandalorian S1 and S2 were good. A space western.

Boba Fett was the weakest IMO. Like they just didn't know what to do with him. Like they already have a version of him with Mandalorian. That and they used two episodes of that show for Mandalorian anyway. Also they reformed him compared to what he was in the OT.
I got nothing to say here.

It really should have been a single film instead of a limited series. It feels drawn out as a show.

Well, from everything we know there was a plan set in place for where the Trilogy was going to go but Johnson didn't like it, changed it and the higher-ups approved. I hate to say it but TLJ is the reason this Trilogy got so screwed over mainly because, for whatever reason, Johnson decided to wrap up most of the major plot threads and character arcs in chapter 2 of 3.
