Correct. Even if the SCotUS were to make a call towards their bullshit, then let them see it through, while the other side has guns, tanks and missiles. That the US military and the majority of security officers, even in the fundamentally fucked services like police, would go along with that bullshit, is a misconception. The critical part is, that the Democrats don't just bow down or out and that currently doesn't seem likely, because if they do, then that's the last thing that party ever does, as it will have been the last time there is an actual vote.

I think the Trump... 'strategy' for lack of better word... in that even would be basically.

1) The military does fuck-all, either because they due to tradition refuse to interfere in domestic affairs or because Trump has such support among the common soldiers that the brass aren't confident they could maintain discipline.
2) The cops are all-in on fascism and join in, just like the good ol' days of the KKK.

And to be honest I think the second thing is true. The first however is pretty fuckin' unlikely in the event of "The election's outcome is within the range of dispute but Trump forcibly intercedes to claim victory", like even if you had a widespread cop riot I just don't see the military standing down entirely and letting it happen if Trump's people do another putsch.

Plus given how Trump has fought tooth and nail to destroy the american troops with his laws and beliefs, yeah I doubt they like him

Military won't do anything. The way the military is structured, no way would they get involved in any kind of domestic dispute in the country. It would involve a serious amount of officer firings from the top to bottom to get the military involved.

Cops I can see go 50/50. Following orders from the higher ups that may support Trump or their perceived winner of the election. But I can also see cops just doing their job to keep the peace as much as they can.

It all depends on how it unfolds. But as of right now it does seem like Trump's stock is declining and Harris is rising. Especially after Trump's horrible interview last night.

Confrontational and uncompromising, exactly like an Interview should be and Trump buckles hard under the pressure right from the get-go. I laughed so hard so often. Highly recommended to watch.

Yeah it was bad. This is what Trump is really. You give him things where he has talk of the cuff and outside his usual comfort zone of regurgitating the same old rherotic, and he has nothing. He will instead attack the person, not the question.

My favorite was how he asked you do you define DEI after he asked 'How do you respond to those calling Harris an DEI hire?' I am paraphrasing and not directly quoting the question. He could have gone the easy way out and said something vague which is entirely tjing but he got confrontational. Like DEI spells itself out.

I agree. You put Trump in perhaps one of the most hostile situations (for good reason) and you think somehow Trump will behave? Trump loves his softball questions but the moment someone calls him out on his past he gets defensive. He plays the victim.

But that whole thing about Harris *only* being Indian and not black is baffling. You are allowed to be bi-racial and celebrate either side as wish. You are allowed to use either side or both to your advantage. Not your fault for being bi-racial either. So why is this a hard concept for Trump to wrap his head around?

It is certainly very interesting. Since Biden's debate and Trump's close call, the Right (and some in the Left) felt that Trump has the election in the bag.

Now it's different. Harris who was unpopular as VP and didn't last long in 2020 during her own presidential bid is having a grand ole time against Trump now.

I think it reinforced my idea that the Democrats should have put a younger challenger to Trump than Biden for the 2024 election. Biden's age and health was always a concern for Democrats. Now you got a young, vibrate candidate. Now it makes Trump look incredibly bad in comparison.
