Trump is somewhat outclassed by her here. He's as good as he usually is, but it's just not enough with her.
Actually Trump wasn't that good. Even in comparison to his other debates with Biden or Hilary.

There were certainly openings Trump could have gone to criticize Harris that he didn't take because he reverted to Trump rally speaking points.

In his older age he seems more prone to rambling on and losing focus of what should be said. In the 2016 debates he seemed a lot sharper and was really leaning on that whole "I'm an outsider taking on corruption" which appealed to a lot of voters. He's no longer doing that, and he can no longer be that outsider because he's been in the political spotlight for 8 years now and normal people are getting sick of him and his rhetoric.

There are YouTube videos out there that does show how much clearer Trump was when he talked off the cuff. He was to the point, he was clearer in how he talked.

I don't know I don't think he was ever that good lol. I don't see anything to do with age really, but maybe personal investment. Seems totally normal for him in his position as incumbent.

He's really good at going after boomer Democrats and Republicans alike but if anything he's running into his own scarecrow from 2016... She ran for the 2020 primaries on a ballot tailored by a discrete progressive era that has been tapered to more moderate/centrist standards. That's what he attacked and hit the air.

I do wonder if it possible that the people like him, the older generation that Trump glare at while he grew older are starting to die out and they are the ones most likely to support the old fossil.

He was never an articulate speaker, but when he was younger he was clearer in how he talking about something.

There is alot of theories out there like he has a undiagnosed mental deficiency that is just getting worse the older he gets. Or that he isn't a smart man at all and managed to just gift his way through life despite horrible business decisions. Like his show gave him $400 million that saved his business and even then the money was nearly gone by 2016 anyway.

He really made two good investment his own life, wrestling and the apprentice, and I have the feeling all he did was being a figure here and do as he was told.

Well both were short term investments where he burned through that money. I just read today that during The Apprentice's run was that the producers found out that Trump was very random in who he 'fired'. So they had to go back heavily edit episodes to make the person fired look bad.

His businesses may be worth billions but Trump is no where close to being a billionaire. If he loses in two months, we will probably see a rapid dismantling of his empire to pay for all his legal costs. After his death, the Trump empire will probably go soon afterwards. Doubt his two oldest sons will manage to keep it afloat like their father did.

At least Barron will be safe. Melanie for all her faults seems to be a good enough mother to ensure Barron (and herself) gets something.
