Teaching about LGBTQ subjects, books with trans characters, etc. must be things parents can opt out of. I wonder why books about cishet people don't get the same treatment. I hate that this is in my own state.

Fuck, I was thinking of moving back to be near family but I guess that's off the table.
...for space is wide, and good friends are too few.

Because they think that anything involving non-cishet people is an inherently explicitly-sexual topic (to the point of trying labeling any media involving non-cishet people as pornography. That's even one of the big sections of Project 2025).
