It is being reported on SkyNews that Trump is considering DeSantis for Defense Secretary. That would be interesting...

DeSantis is the Governor of Florida rather than a Congressman.

I actually canvassed for Harris and donated money to her campaign. I have never done that before. So when she lost to Trump it felt worse because I had tried to do something about it. Still, it just got me mad enough that I really want to get involved now. Strange thing is I am CIS white male so I really don't have anything to really worry about but I just don't want to see the country of my birth revert back to what it was 50 years ago.

I have never been more disappointed in the American people than I have now.

Florida isn't going to suddenly go blue.

Florida term limits do that weird thing where it's consecutive, not total. So right now he can't run for a third term in 2026, but if he left he could come back and run for a new first term.
One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars.

You've just described the UK exactly.

Of course, we are a lot smaller so the logistics for you are 100X greater, but our system does work pretty well. Voter fraud is typically unheard of. The paper ballots system is especially useful because it gets around the problem that you guys have of there not being enough places to vote in certain marginalised areas. Do you know what happens here if there are too few polling stations to go around? Some bloke parks up his car on the side of the road and uses that instead. I'm not joking:
