How Long was Vi Unconscious?

Post by Winter »

This is a little thing that really bugs me, in episode 8 of season 2 of Arcane Vi's hair is notably a lot longer then it was when we last saw it in episode 6. Before it was short but now it's shoulder length if not a bit longer. Yet, there's no real indication in dialogue or anything else, I think, that there's been a time skip and yet Vi's hair is again notable longer and most of the dye in her hair is gone.

This really contributes to the rushed feeling of season 2 because while this is a minor plot point it's feels like a lot we've skipped over major and even minor events without any real explanation.

I get the symbolic reason behind this, Vi is suppose to be growing out of her more destructive ways and becoming a better person and who she truly is but the fact that her hair just grows so long in what seems to be a day at most just takes me out of the story. I don't why this is such a big deal to me but there we are. Make of this what you will.

It was shoulder length in episode 5, it just didn't stand out as much because it was black on black.

You can see it past her shoulders even tied back in the boxing montage.

I think the color was just the same grease she was using as body paint, not actually dyed. Cait even made a crack about it.
Tragedy tomorrow; comedy tonight!

Still looks longer to me, but I admit that I might be mistaken.
