Mark my words, this is headed for large-scale crematoriums.

It's not a bad idea if it's honest which I doubt it will be. Perhaps this could be the nail in the coffin on that vaccines cause autism or food or whatever else they randomly come up in their brain. Maybe it would show that autism was there the entire time.

I would actually very surprised if they legit found something honestly.

In a perfect world they would create a end all be all study that ends all of conspiracy theories about autism. We could just shoe them the study to all of doubters and call it a day. It won't. We still got Flat Earthers and people think we didn't land on the Moon or been to space at all.
I got nothing to say here.

Me too. I was put in Special Ed classes from 1st to 5th grade. Why? Because I didn't speak unless spoken to. Academically I was well within the 'norms' with a higher reading and math level. My Mom once told me that the Kindergarten teacher didn't like that I actually colored within the lines on coloring books.

But I remember my time there. The so called odd kids being given medication for their ADHD or odd behavior. Needing a teacher's assistent for all five years to help out with my classmates. My brother barely making out of Special Ed due to his better ability to talk socially, but again he was a odd kid himself.
I got nothing to say here.

It's a very bad idea from the start. It involves breach of doctor-patient confidentiality on a massive scale. They've already got the bad data ready, just like with the Cass report, and it'll be there to justify whatever horrific next steps they want to take. Just ask what happened to even the good, law-abiding Germans who were too mentally disabled for the liking of the state.

Meaning that people will no longer get themselves diagnosed out of fear.

Meaning that the new cases of autism will go down.

Meaning that he'll be able to claim that he has “cured autism” due to his crusade against vaccines.

MAGA will lap it up and the eternal battle of confusing correlation with causation will continue unabated.

As someone who's actually autistic, I don't like seeing someone use my condition as a platform to push some anti-vax agenda.

Huh? The only way he could claim he cured Autism is if he reversed the past 20-30 years and just say a certain select group has it. Everyone else is just weird and needs better parenting or something like that. Which would fall in line with the anti-vaxxer's line of logic.

This is no longer about convincing the rest of us. It is about convincing the Red Hats (read: Brownshirts).
