Can someone explain the Jason isaac's pyramid joke? Though I'd understand a reference to Zhao, Harry Potter or Event Horizon.
The two male prisoners who were in The Expanse included Adam Jensen's voice actor and someone who was in Dark Matter (RIP).

No, seriously:

STD still continues to be less impressive in its third episode than ORV did.

On the subject of Spocks never before seen human step sister, I wouldn't accept that shit on a fanfic (that is automatically a "skip" if I see that in the description) I'm not accepting that shit from canon. Hell, I didn't accept that in the Shatner movie.

I tried to think of the silliest phobia that is not on the phobia list. It was not easy.DanteC wrote:Can someone explain the Jason isaac's pyramid joke? Though I'd understand a reference to Zhao, Harry Potter or Event Horizon.

When I look at Stargate Universe and Star Trek Discovery. This is what I see in a nut shell.

Watching this review I get the impression that Chuck isn't a fan of this show.

I think it would have been better to do it as a mid season 2 parter, the wrap around segments could even serve to make up the short run of Battle of the Binary Star.MithrandirOlorin wrote:Okay, the first two episodes being about a totally different crew and captain wouldn't have bothered me if the promotion of the show didn't revolve around that Captain.

I was initially excited because I assumed it was because it was a Section 31 ship.thisithis wrote:When I look at Stargate Universe and Star Trek Discovery. This is what I see in a nut shell.

I appreciated Chuck's opening rant regarding Star Trek Discovery and pop-culture today in general. Just today I read an article from Gizmodo which essentially bashed fans who don't like Discovery or The Last Jedi, asserting that they are just closed-minded fanboys who can't stand change or having a non-white straight male protagonist. I don't want to go into that, I'm just happy to see that there are still some internet personalities who actually attempt honest and fair discourse.
I don't think Tilly is autistic, or should be. For one, I am almost certain her actress has come out and said that she isn't autistic, or at least wasn't written as such. But also, I think making her autistic narrows her character too much and prevents people from relating to her. For example, I like her because she is a socially awkward person, but nevertheless is striving to deal with that, and become the best she can be. I can relate to that. It's harder for me to relate to someone whose awkwardness is caused by a mental disorder. Not to mention she would be yet another example of the "Young Autistic Prodigy" trope that hollywood seems to love.
...btw, did I mention in my post that Saru is a cow?

Given the fact Saru can run 80 miles per hour, I think he's actually a gazelle.
