Mandatory Guns
Re: Mandatory Guns
You want me to cite sources because you can't find it yourself or you don't believe it...or both? Hell, Wikipedia even states that.

Re: Mandatory Guns
One of the things that makes the whole mass shootings thing such a frustrating problem is that it's not so easy to figure out what's causing people to go out and do them, other than maybe a general sense of misanthropy. We know with a few of them, either because they lived and talked about it, or like that kid that left a manifesto that basically amounted to being mad that no woman wanted to touch him, but for the most part, these people are killing themselves and not really leaving behind all that many clues. Like the guy that shot up that school in Connecticut - it's speculated that he did it out of jealousy because his mom was spending more time there than with him, but it's not really known for sure. Or the Las Vegas shooting, which is one of the more frustrating ones, because he left nothing to indicate why he did it, only that he'd meticulously planned it. Some people seem to think he was a leftist who was trying to kill conservatives because he targeted a country music concert, but there's no proof of that - for all we know, it could've been any concert, and that just happened to be the one that fit best with his plans. He wasn't seen associating with any extremist groups, and all indications are he wasn't even all that political.

So it's easier to blame their methods than investigate the why or simply admit that evil happens and the only thing we can do is prepare as best we can. Not with signs or laws, but actually preparations.

The young male suicide rate is way up, and a lot of folks in America want to be famous. Some will settle for infamous.

Try posting a "joke" on social media about bombing an airport.excalibur wrote:Ink on paper
Try taking a dump on a public street.
Heck, try sleeping on a park bench.
See what happens to you. That is because we have laws against those things, and the means to enforce them.

Re: Mandatory Guns
We should make schools gun-free zones, and pass laws against shooting people unless there's a really good reason (if they are endangering you, endangering another, or they're street mimes).Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: Try posting a "joke" on social media about bombing an airport.

You are arguing from an all-or-nothing perspective.Darth Wedgius wrote:We should make schools gun-free zones, and pass laws against shooting people unless there's a really good reason (if they are endangering you, endangering another, or they're street mimes).Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: Try posting a "joke" on social media about bombing an airport.

But that's why people want. All or nothing. They want all guns gone and no one can have them except the police and military but at the same time saying police are racist people that shoot black kids and the government abuse its power.
