So, Netflix just revealed that they have the 3rd movie and it's going to be aired after the Super Bowl. Petty interesting to see what it is like and also damn, Netflix got a major movie franchise and is treating it like a TV network would treat a new hype up TV show, in my opinion.

I guess this is gonna be the "CloverField" thing.
Spring it on everyone for the shock factor.
Hopefully it is good and keeps the "CloverField" brand something that is worth watching.

So I got a chance to see this yesterday and I was disappointed to say the least. The film wasn't anything that I was expecting it to be and I found that the characters were more acting on the stupid side than on the panicky side, in my opinion.

Now that I have had 48 hours to ruminate on it, "The Cloverfield Paradox" is starting to sour.

My mental rock tumbler is uncovering more and more flaws. Things that should have been fixed with another re-write.

This movie was originally called "The God Particle" and was only changed to Cloverfield to try and tie it into that universe for some stupid reason.

Theory goes that the studio knew they had a bomb and decided to Straight-to-Netflix it as a result.

Nothing makes sense. Random stuff just happens for no discernible reason. People can walk around filled with Worms and a football sized piece of tech in their stomachs just because. They'll also have weird eye movements and talk to themselves in the mirror just because. Suddenly the table football will start spinning when no-one is around, then stop. Just because.

If you want a sci-fi where screwing with the fabric of reality results in a bunch of terrifying things, Event Horizon or Doom (games not, the movie) are a much better choice.
