I kind of hope Avengers 4 does more with the Red Skull and maybe has him in a role similar to Mephisto in the comic, where he's hanging around Thanos and advising him whilst looking for an opportunity to grab the Gauntlet.
Cap got short strawed in this movie so giving him another showdown with the Skull would be a good thing to do. I imagine that the plot of the next one will be for the Avengers to find Thanos and get the Gauntlet off of him to undo all of the damage and it will play out similar to the comic.

My guess is that Captain Marvel is going to do that instead of Nebula and Adam Warlock. Only because James Gunn has said that Warlock isn't in either Avengers films so I am bummed that they will have Captain Marvel do it because they want us to believe that she is going to be the most powerful person in the MCU. Because of reasons...SabreMau wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 2:51 pm And there's also a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on the way. You could theoretically parse that as Stallone's crew plus Rocket, but realistic odds are that most if not all of them are coming back to life. If they follow the comics, it's just going to be Thanos getting lax and letting someone yank the Gauntlet off his hand. They'll probably alter that slightly, as they altered other things, but Nebula's still alive and Adam Warlock hasn't shown up on the stage yet.

I kind of liked that bit only because it shows that there are multiple timelines.SabreMau wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:10 pm "I went forward in time looking at possible alternate futures of the coming conflict."

Carol is one of the most powerful Marvel heroes, especially when she uses her Binary form.cilantro wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:23 pmMy guess is that Captain Marvel is going to do that instead of Nebula and Adam Warlock. My guess is that Carol will act in place of the Silver Surfer and Gamora in place of Warlock.

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
I'm not familiar with the Infinity Stone comics and haven't seen the last couple of MCU flicks, so based purely on what I saw-
Over-powered villains are usually going to be a problem for me, and it was always obvious that they would up the ante for the climax of this line of movies. With that in mind, I thought Thanos had a fairly interesting demeanor as far as that type of villain goes. When you come down to it, I don't think his motivations really make sense, but I don't see his specific motivation as being too important- the important point is that he thinks he has a valid reason and isn't yet another "crazy gonna crazy" bad guy. I did like that Thanos wasn't unbeatable- the heroes came close to saving the day a couple of times.
I was shocked at Gamora's death, knowing that there's a Guardians 3 in the works, and I was also genuinely worried about Iron Man near the end of the movie. These are feelings I usually don't have at the end of superhero movies, so kudos for providing some real surprises and tension (at least for those who don't know the original story).
Obviously, the events at the end of the movie aren't going to stand, and I definitely thought there was a good indication that Dr. Strange knew something about it. It's less clear to me what exactly the solution is going to be and who will really bite the dust in the end. I do have conflicted feelings in how much of this movie might ultimately end up being rewritten. Everyone at the end is coming back, but do they bring back Gamora as well? It's a dark movie, but at the end of the day how much of it will be rendered moot by time travel shenanigans?
My final verdict- Infinity War delivered. I do think the movie gets too crowded for its own good, there are moments that are overly convenient, but they succeeded in putting together a climax befitting this phase of the MCU.

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
I honestly just don't care for Carol/Captain Marvel and honestly, I just am not excited about her upcoming movie. I mean putting her in Infinity War (or at least her symbol) wasn't that far of a surprised that they did hint at her at the end of this film. My guess is that she will play a much bigger part in the second Infinity War movie and will also probably get everyone who turned to "dust" alive and/or defeat Thanos. Or maybe everyone who "died" (and my guess is that Marvel didn't kill anyone in this movie) will be in the Soul Stone Realm (like what Gamora is in currently) and all they do is put the Soul Stone in "reverse" and that is how everyone gets out.GloatingSwine wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 9:12 pmCarol is one of the most powerful Marvel heroes, especially when she uses her Binary form.cilantro wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:23 pmMy guess is that Captain Marvel is going to do that instead of Nebula and Adam Warlock. At this point, you either have to never seen a Marvel MCU film and/or be really dumb to think that they will keep all of these characters from not being "alive" by the end of the Avengers 4.

Carol is one of my all time favorite characters but I think a lot of people miss her subtleties. She's a big Amazonian teddy bear.
