Lest we forget, these movies don't have to blow up the universe or commit mass murder to look fucking awesome and fun.

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
It's a shame the Asgardians didn't make it but perhaps at least prevented Fox news from trying to argue they could be full of terrorists.

Loki: You just had to say that, didn't you?

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
A few thoughts - I don't think the "in love with the avatar of death" thing would really work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - it would just be too - weird. Also, the idea that those currently living outnumber everyone who has ever died is fallacious (at least for Earth), so it would not be any more reasonable than worrying about overpopulation.
As for whether or not Spider-Man will be resurrected - presumably yes, unless the next Spider-Man movie is going to be replacing him with Miles Morales.

As for the "Mr. Stark I don't feel so good" scene, does anyone else remember a similar scene where the person who did not feel so good was a different Mr. Stark?

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
Miles Morales is going to used in Sony's "Into in the Spider verse" film so it's unlikely Peter's going to be replaced.
I think nearly all of the 'poofed' people are going to be come back.(Expect maybe Bucky...maybe.) I'm curious to see what those character will do in the next movie...if anything. Part of me feels like all the poofed heroes will do something to undermine Thanos in some sort of limbo realm thing. But another part of me feels that would get really complicated and take too much time away from other things.

Most likely all of the people who got dusted will come back. I would also imagine that Captain Marvel will be the one going against Thanos.King of the owls wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 2:14 am Miles Morales is going to used in Sony's "Into in the Spider verse" film so it's unlikely Peter's going to be replaced.

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
What I posted on my Blog today, since I finally saw it today.

In the Spoielr Department. I lvoe that the dleusion that Empire Stirkes Back is a movie where the Bad Guys Won int he end is dead now. And that you really can't call the DC Unvierse the Dark one anymore. Three out of 5 DC Movies have bene overall Lighthearted.Infinity War has reignited my excitement for Superhero movies.
It's difficult to explain my feelings here. Since on an individuals basis I have been generally been liking the Phase Three MCU films the best so far, and yet at the same time was kind of tiring of them as a whole.
But I really wanted the DC Cinematic Universe to be better as someone who's more of a DC fan. And so when I wound up feeling disillusioned with Batman V Superman it began a slow fading out of my interest in the genre. And it helped that my discovery of Anime gave me something to fill that void.
It would never have been completely gone, as Batman in particular is my oldest Fandom and and for a long time this genre was the center piece of my Geekdom. But the last three DC movies were all ones I left the theaters with initially high praise for but that I slowly soured on. And that it's been basically the same with the new Star Wars movies had me feeling that I may have only Anime to rely on.
But Infinity War was amazing, it managed to truly feel like a Crisis level Event done on the Big Screen in Live Action with Live Actors.
And the knowledge that Donna Troy will be coming to the Titans show they're making also livens me up.
So my investment in this genre is renewed. Anime is still gonna gonna be what this Blog talks about the most. But I no longer feel like it was going to inevitably become an Anime only blog.

I was spared by Thanos!
My reaction after letting the dust settle (ha) is still really positive for this one. Giant blockbusters with a lot of talent involved and a lot of money riding on it aren't guaranteed to be slam dunks creatively, as can be seen with DC or even Disney's Star Wars (in terms of worldbuilding at least). Of course, this isn't a movie that's going to stand on its own if the sequel sucks, and it's still possible that it will seem less meaningful if most of the events of the movie are erased.
And really, almost everything in this movie could be undone-
Everyone turned to dust is coming back, there's pretty much no doubt about that.
It would be odd spending all that time trying to remove the stone from Vision's forehead if that character's journey is over. It's possible Vision in this form is dead, but I tend to think that there's more to tell there.
After mulling it over, I think there's a good chance that getting Gamora back will be the plot of GotG 3.
Loki is the most likely to be permanently dead, and I think he probably is... but it isn't outside the realm of possibility that there's still some trickery going on there either.

The owls are not what they seem.
Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
Wouldn't Loki be banished to Hell if he died? Asgard is gone but that was only one realm.
We must dissent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwqN3Ur ... l=matsku84

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
I think this continuity is ignoring the more magical aspects of the Asgardians. They're not "Gods" they are just sufficiently advanced aliens.
