Fuzzy Necromancer, I sympathise with your millennial rage, I really do, but your way of thinking is too black and white.

I disagree that rich people should be able to do whatever they want or buy whatever they want as history has shown us repeatedly that that kind of thing leads to moral decay and frequent abuse of law and society. However, Fuzzy, your way of thinking lead to events like the Russian and French revolution and while they were not unjustified, they also lead to almost equally bad ruling classes who also frequently abused their power and resources.

I don't believe a revolution, even a violent one, is bad in of itself. It's when the people committing the revolution give into chaotic anarchy or end up under the sway of a violent, prejudiced psychopath it becomes bad and ultimately pointless in the long run.

Also, in regards to freedom of speech, I get the impression a few people here are Libertarians like Chuck and believe in freedom of speech and thinking should be absolute. I also sympathise with this way of thinking but I disagree with it, I believe that those freedoms should be respected up until the point where they lead to open and unjustified prejudice or bullying.

Almost eqally bad?

Sparking a 25 year war that killed 5 million in the former and the latter producing everything that unreavelled from the Soviot Union, including the exporting of Communism that helps contribute to its 9 digit death toll is almost as bad as what came before them?

You might have a point with France given the previous century of it's incessent wars to dominate Europe, but the Soviet Union, really???

There are those who start revolutions and those who benefit from them as many places in the Middle East, like Libya, are finding out.

FN I've come to the conclusion is equity obsessed, that is, he doesn't care, he just hates the rich.

And if you don't have free speech how do you prevent the bullying when someone or a group lies about being victims so they can bully and humiliate people?

That's a very good point Slash but I'm afraid I don't have any practical answers or suggestions for most of those kinds of issues. They're annoyingly complex.

What do you think I don't care about? Why is concern about equity a bad thing?

It does make it easier for reprehensible people to make themselves known so we can ignore them accordingly.

I honestly don't think there are a lot of those within the US.
