Nitpick #14: Were they just expecting people to be on the honor system as far as "weapon classes?" Because no police until 7:00 am the next morning means you really have no way to enforce that rule. Sure, cameras were capturing the action, but with so many Purgers wearing masks and costumes, good luck figuring out who that was firing the rocket launcher at the same-day loans place...

Nitpick #15: At the risk of stating the obvious, a night of mayhem and chaos like Purge Night leaves one Hell of a mess the next morning. So, how is Post-Purge clean up done? Are corpses just supposed to be dragged to the curb along with your recycling and garbage bins? Do the stores sell bodybags for this purpose or are you just supposed to put them in Hefty bags like the yard clippings? Who gets the grim but necessary task of going around cleaning up all the blood in the streets? How about all the wrecked or burned vehicles and/or other debris? It's not like you can just wave a magic wand and instantly restore all that stuff to normal. Are people still expected to go to work or school that day? Even if your office or school burned down overnight or got thoroughly trashed?

It's a way to weed out the poor, and places like that have mercenaries guarding it. Also, I know it's the US on crazy pills, but where do you think Joe Q Public gets an RPG? More importantly, if its a person who can afford a Rocket Launcher, why is he going after a Payday loan place? Those things are expensive.PapaPalpatine wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 10:18 pm Nitpick #14: Were they just expecting people to be on the honor system as far as "weapon classes?" One , government places are protected by the military and cops. Two, it's a twisted version of a Make work program meant to keep the rich rich and the poor poor. Of course they hire manual labor to clean up everything and rebuild, or big companies sweep in buying the now devalued land and develop it how they wish. It's not a bug, it's a feature.PapaPalpatine wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 8:06 am Nitpick #15: At the risk of stating the obvious, a night of mayhem and chaos like Purge Night leaves one Hell of a mess the next morning. No RPGs, just simple everyday explosives. Fertilizer and diesel makes a lovely explosive to wipe out the same day loan place, the police station, anything you want that's not some super hardened bunker. And it's not like you don't have all year to plan for Purge night.

True, but that really depends on whether those businesses hired mercenaries to shoot you while you're trying to plant explosives, doesn't it? Or the police who are guarding the station that you're trying to blow up?Robovski wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 11:23 pm No RPGs, just simple everyday explosives. And blowing up police stations is one of those crimes that they will punish you for after the Purge is over, because it's a government office.

Who needs to plant explosives? You load up a truck Oklahoma style: https://www.history.com/this-day-in-his ... ahoma-city armed guards are something mankind has had to deal with since before time began - lots of usual solutions ranging from bribery, distraction, elimination...

In that case, the person is just charged anyway and treated as a normal crime under terrorism.Robovski wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 9:48 pmFaxModem1 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 8:29 pmTrue, but that really depends on whether those businesses hired mercenaries to shoot you while you're trying to plant explosives, doesn't it? The point of the last nitpick was that, with so many purgers wearing costumes and masks, finding the person(s) who break the rules about weapons classes is going to be a fool's errand.

Nickpick #16: How the Hell are there still small businesses in the Purge universe? Would you bother to invest money and/or time in something that can be totally destroyed during Purge Night? Even if you have "Purge Insurance," we all know what dickweeds the insurance companies can be.

Re: Nitpicks about the Purge franchise...
My theory?
I believe 90% of the people out on Purge Night are stealing TV sets, food, and cash to get them through the next year.
The remaining 9% is mostly people shooting at them for trying to rob their stores or get the best stuff.
Sadly, the 1% are racists out to kill minorities and poor people.
