Now we have to call them the "alt-right" and let them rant about how everybody who isn't a straight white Protestant guy is subhuman. Man, I miss the '40s. We had a lot of problems back then, but at least we knew what to do with Nazis.
Some teenager got pissed off at some un-American Nazi-loving asshole's attempt to rile people up. Who cares? Teenagers do stupid shit all the time.
As for Nazi-loving--if he's a young male in the public school system and a Trump fanboy, odds are at least 90% that he's alt-right. And the alt-right are literally nothing but Nazis who've rebranded themselves--Richard Spencer himself admitted as much.
So much for the tolerant left!111!!

I think I'll challenge you to disprove by counterexample instead. When was the last time you saw a white guy under 20 who was a Trump fanboy and explicitly not alt-right? I'd like the name, date, and a link so that I can corroborate, since that's the standard of proof you seem to be going for.Darth Wedgius wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:37 pmCitations needed for the intent to rile and for young male + public school + Trump = 90% probability of alt-rightness, please.Worffan101 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:32 pmWearing a MAGA hat to school is attempting to rile people up. I mean, for crying out loud. We have a President whose campaign and Presidency are deeply rooted in pandering to white supremacists, who's supported by an online network of devoted Nazis called the 'Alt-right', whose non-Nazi support increasingly is deserting him because he keeps fucking Middle America over in pursuit of his vanity projects, and something like 80% of young people hate him with an undying passion. It's not that complicated, people. Trump is a racist and a sizable portion of his dwindling fanbase is outright Nazis, like those "incel" freaks and the 8chan crowd.

62,984,828 people voted for Trump. Only a tiny fraction of them have ever associated with the 'Alt-Right.'Worffan101 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:32 pmAs for Nazi-loving--if he's a young male in the public school system and a Trump fanboy, odds are at least 90% that he's alt-right. Oh, I disagree. I feel that the burden of proof lies with the person who's not using basic common sense.LittleRaven wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:44 pmThe burden of proof lies on the person who makes the assertion. I have never ONCE met a single person under the age of 30 who liked Trump and wasn't a Nazi. Every single time I've met a Trump fanboy under 30, they've turned out to be alt-right or an "incel" (which is basically the same thing but with more sexism than racism). The likelihood of a teenager being a Trump fanboy and NOT an nchan denizen is astronomically low.

That tells me that you need to get out more, but not much else. Argument from anecdote is not generally considered to be good form, and for good reason.Worffan101 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:47 pmI have never ONCE met a single person under the age of 30 who liked Trump and wasn't a Nazi.
Again, 62,984,828 people - 42% of the American voting population - voted for Trump. They did so for a wide variety of reasons. Some of them are Alt-Right, but the overwhelming majority are not.
I have no idea why this particular boy decided to wear a MAGA hat that day. Maybe he's a devotee of Richard Spencer. Maybe it was a hot day and he simply grabbed a hat from the closet without thinking about it. Maybe any number of scenarios in between. But it doesn't really matter, because you don't get to hit people over what they choose to wear.

I'm not disagreeing that the teenager was in the wrong to hit the guy, but teenagers do that all the time. This is pretty unremarkable, we have a school discipline system for it that works just fine, and frankly if I saw a guy in a MAGA hat when I went into class I'd ask him what the Hell he was thinking.
The basic facts of the matter are that almost all young Trump supporters are members of the 10% of our population (and 1/4 or Trump's voters) that thinks Hitler was a chill guy, and that teenagers are fucking idiots. Hell, I've done my share of stupid shit, my brother and I nearly killed each other a couple of times because we were cooped up in the house all the time, being hotheaded assholes is a trait of teenagers across the world.
I simply don't see why this is in any way notable.

So if I don't provide proof of someone not being a Nazi, he's a Nazi?Worffan101 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:42 pmI think I'll challenge you to disprove by counterexample instead. I just don't have time for people who make excuses for edgelords and refuse to admit that the alt-right are Nazis.
