The game is also including options to be bisexual, gay, and all about fighting the power.
But you can't choose to be an attack helicopter with a winch as your choice of gender, can you? Fuck me sideways, these people are nothing but offense. Can't please them. Don't bother trying, as they'll happily and gleefully burn down the very house they sit in, just because it has the audacity to not be coloured in cheeseviolett or purplepaleblue on a monday.

We live in the age of the outrage industry. It's always existed, of course, but YouTube and social media have allowed it to flourish as never before. There are thousands of people that want nothing more than to make you angry, because that anger will drive the clicks that will give them money. To that end, they will engage in all kinds of subtle and overt manipulation, because they're not interested in any kind of truth or social gain, just the click.
Exactly.

Apparently not "woke" enough to the complainers.

This is pretty much exactly what artists talk about when they say "Don't read the comments". It's a waste of effort for anyone from CDPR to wade into the bilge during the development phase. That energy needs to be on the world-building. Until the game "goes gold," it's mostly about managing expectations, while delivering solid measurable progress, without taking so much time that you end up in the Vaporware awards.

Still, if the game arrives later rather than sooner, it will probably be for the best. Origin Systems in particular used to say something akin to, It's only late until it's done, but release it unfinished and it will suck forever. Even in an age of pervasive DLC, you still have crippling launch debacles like Mass Effect 3 and SimCity 2013. Once it's in the tin, there's not much more you can do. So do the best you can.

Or just not to pander to a small group of the perpetually offended.
I don't how this is a CDPR representative responding though. It's two default IGN forum accounts with the names blocked out.

Outside of that, punk has never been about oppression, or oppressors, or minorities. Punk was about anti-authoritarianism, deliberately causing offense, self expression above conformity if not outright anarchism.

Not conforming to what the "woke" crew demand you do and "not selling out" would be the punk thing to do here. Possibly while sticking up the V sign and yelling the most offensive vulgarity into their faces so loud their eardrums ring and they can feel the rain of spittle on their faces.

Punk was working class as well, you get someone like Johnny Rotten and he'd be pro Brexit and Trump just because it would upset the establishment.
Thread ends here. Cut along dotted line.

Considering "woke" today involves supporting Nike for hiring Kaepernick while continuing to hire underage sweatshop labor and encouraging giant corporations, from Bank of America to Facebook and Twitter, to restrict certain people from using their services locking them in an ever smaller box, Cyberpunk isn't woke. Woke creates Cyberpunk.

That's idiotic because awareness of corporate corruption and abuses is not limited to dumbasses.

So... Yeah. Keanu Reeves stars in Cyberpunk 2077:

This project is just getting better every time I read something about it. Hard to believe that this has been in development hell since at least 2013 and now it's less than a year till release. Please be breath-taking, please be breath-taking, please be breath-taking...

So there was trailer for this game in E3. While I am not into this game and I was more hyped about trailer for Tales of Arise I can't deny that based on that trailer Cyberpunk 2077 does look like it has potential to be enjoyable game to those that are into it.
