Whatever you say. Due process = garbage. Hearsay = facts. Run with it.
I wonder if the midterms will wake up the DNC since the presidential election didn't.
You know rules about Due Process and Hearsay are for criminal courts, not a job interview for the highest judicial position in the land, right?
And there's a big reason for that. If a court proceeding goes against you, in criminal court, you can be jailed or even executed. You can lose your rights and your life can be ruined.
If a confirmation hearing goes against you, the worst possible thing that can happen is you don't get the job. And, based on his behavior, Kavanaugh would then throw a temper tantrum about it because he feels the world owes him success.
But I notice you haven't really engaged with the argument. I suspect you may be arguing in bad faith.
But the Senate is not a court of law. That’s a crucial distinction — not just because it means that the Senate can hold Supreme Court nominees to a different standard, but because the Senate conducts investigations very differently than the criminal justice system.
If someone is accused in the criminal justice system, there is supposed to be a thorough investigation. Police actively search for evidence, potentially for months or years. As many witnesses as possible, even those who may only be loosely tied to an allegation, are called to interviews, depositions, and cross-examinations by police and lawyers. Both sides try to exhaust every avenue of evidence to make sure they’re both heard.
This has not happened in the Senate. Republicans have refused to put a vote on hold pending an FBI investigation, which could be requested as part of the broader background check that the FBI does for Supreme Court nominees. The only witnesses called to testify in front of the Senate were Kavanaugh and Ford — excluding other accusers and even Kavanaugh’s friend, Mark Judge, who Ford says aided Kavanaugh in assaulting her. (Although sworn testimony and affidavits were submitted to the Senate.)
I'm going to make a prediction, if anyone would care to hear it. Mark my words.
All of these rape accusations are purely political in nature. If I'm right, then win or lose, confirmed or not confirmed, a month or two after the final decision is made all the accusations will dispensary into the ether. We won't be seeing Dr. Ford again. There will be no follow up court cases, neither criminal nor civil.

You can stop. (on this issue) I don't know who your Senator is, but it doesn't matter. Nobody is going to change their minds about Kavanaugh now.
Farewell, safe abortions and many forms of birth control. Farewell marriage rights. You will be missed.
Don't catastrophize, or assume that its over. It's never over. Every victory, every defeat...it merely sets the stage for the next battle.
The next round is set for Wednesday, November 6th. Don't be late.
These fights ARE over, until the one of the bastard dies of natural causes.
There is no legal process to remove them, and they WILL be coming for our rights. We can protest, and call, and slash tires, and vote, but we can't undo this harm until there's a new supreme court in town.
I will keep struggling, but we have years, decades, of cishet-only marriage and bloody wire hangers. So cut the polyanna shit.

On the wire hanger front, I think you are worrying needlessly.
Roe v. Wade only gave constitutional protection for abortion. As much as I dislike the supreme court making up new amendments to the constitution, even if Roe v. Wade were overturned (something I see very little drive for on the right), that would still just mean that states could outlaw abortion, and there are a lot of states that won't do that.

Well then the only way that could be a problem is if there's been a concerted effort by pro-lifers to gain control at the state level and make nearby abortion services harder to get. 9_9

And if they are successful. There are a lot of blue states out there.
