That's a false accusation and you know it. With the power of God, you could see into people's hearts. You could erase memories. You could do whatever. You could cure mental illness. You could do a lot of good for humanity. I literally said I wanted to turn the world into a paradise, and you called me HITLER.

But can you create a paradise without destroying Free Will?
According to most Christian philosophers, that's where God ran into a wall. Angels get to live in paradise, but they're also just extensions of God's will. The upstart monkeys have made a right mess of things, but they also have the ability to choose, and without choice, there can be no meaning.

You don't need to remove free will to implant false memories, or to erase people from existence, or to see into their hearts, to provide them with what they need. In other words, that's just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Or a failure to see how that makes a mockery of free will.

We aren't ready to be a perfect society yet! Not without help. And if it can build a better world where all are happy, and it's really not built on something negative, then maybe a lie can save us. And maybe that's what we need as a people.

May the Lord save us from the idealists.
After all, what cannot be justified in pursuit of a better world?

Well, I know what I'd do. Every rapist or sexual abuser, confirmed mind you, that you could verify with cosmic awareness, would be getting blasted out of existence. If I were God. I hate them so much, they pollute the universe with their very presence.

I dunno man i think he'd start by putting out the wildfires and tamping down hurricanes. Maybe get the climate to a reasonable level? Miracle some fresh clean water to Flint and Palestine. Get loaves and fishes for the starving people in Korea?

With the powers of God, you could reverse climate change. That's one of the benefits. You could ensure good crops would grow. You could make sure cosmic objects avoided Earth. You could do things like, I dunno... help a down-on-their-luck struggling person find some extra cash in the street. You could help someone who didn't get justice from the system by erasing their memory and thus the pain from their mind. You could help people by providing food to those who need it. Funneling money from the super wealthy to give to those who need it most. You could cover tracks in ways that would work. You could appear to corrupt leaders in dreams urging them to repent. You could turn people who are bigoted into that which they hate most for a year, live in their shoes. There's so much potential with the power of God to do good, to help, to heal, to enlighten. So much potential. Free will sounds impressive, but it's insubstantial next to the infinite possibilities of God, and how you could use it to help people through bypassing our own inherent flaws and imperfections.

Okay, this whole debate of free will and god-like power is...kinda off-topic.
This thread isn't about theoretical powers and what we would do. It's about what one horrible little man is doing, threatening to actively withdraw the taxpayer support that would stop thousands of people who are already losing their homes from burning to death.
And some people on this forum are actually defending that choice.
