Yes, yes, keep ignoring the power, danger and sacredness of sex.

Well, we all know I'm an awful human being, so what's your point? And no, wasn't sarcasm.

What I stated on the face of my previous post that ignores many aspects of sex. It isn't a simple body function and something I'd think you'd understand goes deeper given your fixation on rape.

Well, I think it's pretty damn special. It's how we conceive life. And I don't shirk my potential responsibility as a male in that regard. Those who do... fuck 'em.

Re: In your ideal society...
As we are talking about ideal fantasies and not what is realistic (and equally fantastic concepts such as replicators have already been brought up) my ideal society would use some kind of body swapping, memory downloading or holodeck technology to force everyone to know what it is like to be poor, or pregnant, or a different race, or a different sex, or disabled. Because I think that most social problems have a root in the fact that we don't know how each other lives and have no real need to because it doesn't affect us. People are very eager to ignore what they cannot see with their own eyes but often change if they find themselves in that situation i.e. perhaps if Donald Trump spent a few weeks as a starving African child maybe we would suddenly see foreign aid not be such a dirty word anymore.
I think true freedom and equality would actually require radical methods because what we are currently doing clearly does not work.

Yes! Yes, this! Make bigots see what it's like to live in the shoes of those they hate! Make people who torment one another see how those they hurt suffer. That's a great idea.

I'm not surprised.

But it's not a flamewar yet, and it's been a few days. If it goes a whole week like that, I'm going to start questioning the parts of life that are less certain than how political discussions on the internet go. Things like gravity.

Re: In your ideal society...
I fail to see any problem in this thread. We are telling tales of our ideal and obviously fantastical societies. Perhaps it is because you disagree with what our ideal and obviously fantastical societies are? What's yours?
Re: In your ideal society...
OP question? Damned if I know, I'm too cynical.
