I'd get rid of such powers. Dealing with my demons growing up, I know the dark corners my minds gone to battling insomnia thinking such scenarios to know nothing good would come of it for everyone, including me.
In the end, we'd all just make the world a hell, if only out of boredom.
What if you were given the powers of God?

Definitely abuse them.
I feel like I have enough self-knowledge that I wouldn't trust myself with omnipotence.
More specifically? Well, I'd do some good stuff like tamping down climate change, and specifically extinguishing wildfires and stopping hurricanes. I'd probably be the type to answer some prayers.
I'd also make some high-profile pedophiles explode on live television.
But I think I'd also unleash disproportionate retribution on noisy frat houses and certain parts of Wizards of the Coast.
There's also people I'd just, temporarily de-mouth.

I'll be honest and say that, were I to suddenly go from my current station in life to being the big G, there's a LONG list of people who would find themselves neck-deep in shit. Whether that's figuratively or literally depends on my mood that day.

I would rewrite the laws of relativity and conservation of energy so that we can finally build that FTL drive we all as sci-fi fans want. If I was God I could go to these places myself of course, but where's the fun in not being able to share what I find?
I'm not sad that i'm mortal, i'm sad that I won't get to live long enough to freely study the history and biology of a completely alien race. Even if we met them tomorrow the language, political and cultural barriers would take decades to resolve. For me, knowing where they zigged where we zagged, how they avoided certain problems that we didn't or vice versa... I could spent a contented lifetime on that.

Hmmm... Simiting. If I can do anything that can be done, I can be pretty compassionate about smiting, so no removing mouths or supplying a fecal makeover on my watch.
Anyone who is a member of ISIS, Al Qaeda, Antifa, Nazi parties, and several other individuals with sadistic, sociopathic, or authoritarian tendencies are going to get smote, but there's no need for physical pain. Give them each a word (in its own continuum) where they can eat whatever they want, drink whatever they want, have whatever inanimate possessions they want. Like the holodeck, but without the malfunctions. And the peak of human health.
But without any other sentient life (sentient meaning able to feel things, no pretty much no animal life). Nobody and nothing to coerce, rule over, or hurt in any way at all. They can raise flowers if they want to.
It's not heaven, and it might, in fact, qualify as torture by some definitions. It's solitary confinement without the confinement. So any earnest wish for cessation of their existence will be immediately and instantly granted. Or they can wish to be changed to be less authoritarian/sadistic/whatever, and be allowed to play with others again. I figure it's not violating free will if the brain-washing is chosen.

@clearspira: If you were God, you could make yourself immortal.
As for me, I'd erase every sexual assaulter from existence. Yeah. Or at least send them off to an infinite hell. As God, you don't need to trust someone's word. You can see straight into their hearts to determine if they're guilty, or develop some Godly "Sexual Assault Super Sense" or something that lets you know when someone does it.

You figure wrong. Forcing someone to submit his free will is the same as removing the free will in the first place.Darth Wedgius wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 10:00 pmI figure it's not violating free will if the brain-washing is chosen.
Personally, I'd do two things to make the world a better place:
1) Give Yuka an affliction that prevents him from hitting the exact key he wants to hit on his keyboard, even if there's only one single key on his keyboard. Oh and do the same to his brain, just in case so whenever he talks, he just randomly spouts letters, whenever he writes, he just randomly writes down the ABC in no particular order and whenever technology develops far enough, I'll make sure the computers just recieve static from his brain. No, better! They'll start to play the Benny Hill song on a kazoo whenever they are connected to his brain and nothing else, even if they have no speakers.
2) Just hit anyone with a lightning bolt who starts to preach to other people about what I allegedly want. If I want to speak to people about what I want from them, I can speak to them myself, thank you very much. *zap*

Who's forcing? They can have a comfortable afterlife forever. I'll even use all my divine power to give them a computer that can run Crysis 3.`Madner Kami wrote: ↑Mon Dec 03, 2018 6:35 pmYou figure wrong.
