Are we SURE he's not at least a unicorn?Darth Wedgius wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 7:07 pm Fortunately ponies don't generally assault each other over being served a meal they don't like. That kind of thing gets one fired from Top Gear and makes one very unlikely to become an alicorn princess (and, as of this writing, Jeremy Clarkson is not an alicorn princess).

There might be more to that than one might think...

This is a fun review, as usual.
I always enjoy these reviews, both for the insight, and for the comedy.

I don’t really agree with the first message, that spending time together is the point. The episode kind of ends on the note that they would have been happier if they had just ditched all goals to be together. Spike is even like, “I was right all along.” The message should have been more about finding a balance.
The “Christmas” episode is kind of funny in that it never mentions doing the Apple traditions with the Pies. “Our way and only our way” makes the message fall flat. No wonder Applejack acts the way she does. Really a quick, “Our way this year. Your way next year” would have helped.

Cool thing is we do have the Pie family spending the holidays with the Apples during Best Gift Ever.
