The only things I remember him saying about the Force were things that either contradicted canon or were in line with Grey Jedi teachings at best, Darth Traya at worst.
That's fair, but I'm talking the movies here. So if I may, where do these contradictions take place. For instance, I doubt me or other people that are mainly familiar with the movies are familiar with Gray Jedi teachings at best.
If you are going just by the movies then Luke Skywalker went from the most hopeful Jedi in the galaxy to the most miserable and hermitic in the spandexes of a few decades, with a weak explanation that the actor himself rejected as being sufficient.

The stuff he says about the Jedi not owning the Force and that its' vanity to say otherwise is silly, because the Jedi never claimed otherwise (Rey didn't really either- he was putting words in her mouth). The Jedi, in the movies, speak of the Force as being an ally and of having a will of its' own, and of surrounding and binding all living things- they don't speak of it as a tool, yet Luke implies that they did.

He also says that they failed, because after generations of peace they lost to Darth Sidious and the rise of the Empire...except, he already knew that, and he also knew that although the survivors went into hiding, they never gave up hope and were just waiting for the right opportunity to take the galaxy back, which was supposed to be Luke himself. He seems to be suggesting that the Sith are a direct reaction to the Jedi Order and that if the Jedi hadn't existed, then Sidious would never have come along, which is not at all suggested in the movies and given what we know of the Sith, seems utterly crazy, and honestly just comes off as trying to rationalise either his own failings as a teacher or his nephews own failings as a decent human being.
I would recommend watching Mauler's Youtube videos on TLJ and currently TFA. He is not like other people who has made videos on the subject, he actually goes through the films scene by scene and points out why they do not work. TL;DW his central criticism (and he is right) is that it feels as if we have missed a film between Ep 6 and 7. We have gone from Luke's victory, the end of the Sith and the rise of the New Republic to Luke's fall, two new Not!Sith users rising and the death of the New Republic with insufficient connecting pieces being there for the viewers. He likens it to skipping from episode 1 of Game of Thrones with Robert Baratheon still in power straight to season 3 without having access to any of the episodes in between to explain why he is gone and the kingdoms are now at war.

Yes, I've seen them.

(I think he actually likened it to being with Rob, Ned etc. when they were young men fighting Aerys and THEN skipping ahead, but details. Or maybe he did both).

If the First Order could track the Resistance fleet then why didn't they send some ships ahead of the Resistance to stop them until the rest of the First Order fleet could catch up.

Yeah, I believe you are right. It is a damn good analogy for Star Wars.

To be accurate, he said that the force isn't lost without the presence of the jedi, and to think otherwise is vanity. Also when he asked her about what the force is, she responded saying that the force is something the jedi has that allows them to control people. He's mostly retorting the implications of what Rey is saying, and not speaking thoroughly about his reserves of the Jedi. It does seem reasonable to suggest from what he says about great darkness accompanying great light that the jedi are balanced out by siths, though there's not much support thereafter.

It does seem clear that in his hermitry, he is being a bit dense and overall cynical about the force, though that's dealt with in the scene with Yoda. Likewise though, he is right about Rey being tempted to the dark side, given that Snoke is the one orchestrating this connection between Kylo and her.

What was the revelation?
I guess I just found it interesting that he found the order of the Jedi kinda ridiculous. I hope he has more footing in the sequel, because although I found this aspect interesting at least, I could have watched more of his dissolution unfold.

You can do that once and not do it again...

Ther one he tried to make? That is just so depressing that i would rather watch movies about darkisiders in that case.

He found the Jedi Order ridiculous despite trying to re-found it himself, is what he meant.
