Elder Scrolls Online

Post by Tanan »

I thought I'd make this thread since currently there's a free play week going on which will last until the 18th: http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-gb ... -play-week

For those of you unfamiliar with this title, Elder Scrolls Online is an MMO made by Zenimax Online set on Tamriel during the 6th century of the Second Era, a good 800 years before the events of Skyrim for reference.

When the game first launch it was pretty much a disaster, but Zenimax kept working on it leading to a series of overhaul that managed to turn the game around completely and now it's generally accepted to be an actually good game (and one that I'm fan of, hence trying to make more people aware of it). The latest major change has been dubbed One Tamriel which overhauled monsters and characters so that all content is theoretically doable at any time and removes any faction restrictions in the PvE zones so that players with characters on different alliances can group up and play together.

The game is buy-to-play with an optional subscription, but any character made during this free week will be saved and avaiable in future free weeks/weekends or if you decide to purchase this (which is currently on sale as part of the current promotion).

I played this game for a while. Got distracted by other games. I quite liked it while I played it. Always meant to go back.

These days, my MMO time is generally consumed by DCUO and STO. Hopefully I'll return to Tamriel one of these days.
