It's also telling that he shows Goku murdering Superman in his "victory." Now let's be clear that I like Goku better than Superman, but I also don't hate Superman. He's just being a smug, immature jerk who's pissed off that I think some versions of Superman beat Goku - even though I think Goku beats a high majority of the iterations of Superman out there. It's not enough for him. It's dogmatic, like the Prime Directive approach - it has to be an ALL-or-nothing affair. It's all the worst traits of fanboys. People like him tend to be why other fandoms hate the DBZ fanbase so much, which is sad. We need more reasonable fans.

Let's also be clear I hate those two Death Battles, the second one especially, but I have closure after Ben Singer's blog where he admitted it depends on which Superman you use - something from the creator of the show himself. So I have no need to obsess over it endlessly. I just wanted to start a Goku vs. Superman thread for fun and it devolved into this. What is it about Goku vs. Superman that brings out the worst from both of their fans? Though that Ben is thinking about remastering it is worrisome, but that doesn't mean he will, since I've never maintained he's an idiot, and he has to know how controversial that would be, and if it's worth tanking their reputation even more for the sake of views or to correct their previous oversight. So for now, I'm just waiting to see what happens, and I haven't watched Death Battle in... oh wow, almost five years. I only talked about them for fun on the Screwattack forums, which is now gone.
Honestly, Goku vs. Superman has been DONE. It's an old debate that, despite their growing stories, has nothing new to it anymore. I'd prefer something fresh. Like Green Lantern vs. Nova. Or Mogo vs. Ego. Those would be DAMN interesting.

I guess this dick-measuring-drive comes from the audience being who they are, the material being made for who it's made.
Dragon Ball lost my interest the moment it changed from a story about chasing after a mystical relic and a kind of comedic take on "Journey to the West" into the dick-measuring contest that Dragon Ball Z increasingly became. I stopped caring when Boo was being undone by a combined effort of all living beings on Earth giving Goku a part of their energy. A nice, clean, smooth ending with a, even though marginal, nice message of mutual cooperation bringing victory against all odds.

Well you have the technology of Star Trek vs Star Wars. Star Trek technically has slipstream travel that works similarly to hyperdrive, but most ships just go with warp drives. In Star Wars, most ships are traveling with hyperdrive.Yukaphile wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 5:35 pm It's also telling that he shows Goku murdering Superman in his "victory." It's not about losing or winning, you immature brat! It's about you being a juvenile troll.
