Is Chuck scaling down the tone of his video content for the best or worst?

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

What do you just want him to rant at everything you find offensive?

Profit and Lace got ranted at cause it was trying to be comedy using uncomfortable and unwise methods.
This.

The way he does things now tends to set him apart from others better. I will say that I miss the old intro he did for his "Threshold" review, though. I liked his explanation for why he does the things he does, and I've brought up similar points myself when getting into the standard internet arguments.
I did like the openings he used to do, yeah.

VERY toxic in his early videos, and is less so these days. It was very funny, sure, but it seemed less insightful too, and there was less room for reasoned discussion in a few cases I could mention. I'm not trying to attack him, mind - I'm just trying to gauge the feel of his audience. Do you feel that him toning down the vitriol in his later videos is for the best or the worst? For me, I think it can have many positives, yet I've also felt it had a few negatives like his almost total lack of a response to the blatant misogyny and near rape apologia in "The Enemy Within" - from the same guy who's called it out so viciously in the past.

But this is not about me. I wanna get a discussion going, and don't worry, I don't intend to participate past this initial description of what it's all about. So, what do you guys think?
I was never poisoned by any toxin coming from his videos.

Extreme episodes draw extreme reactions. He's already covered the most extreme ones (good and bad) so naturally his reactions have moderated. OTOH, I'm sure TNG: Cost of Living will give us some vintage ranting.

Yeah, he's already covered the worst episodes of each Star Trek series, the ones that make him, as a fan, so very upset. The episodes left to review aren't really bad or offensive enough to merit such an extreme reaction, and as for non-Star Trek stuff . . . well, people don't generally get so upset at a work of fiction unless they were already a hardcore fan of it.

On the other hand, he knew nothing about this series before reviewing it.

Well, I guess we can always try to find something worse than Kannazuki no Miko, if we want a really vitriolic reaction out of him.

This obsession of yours is not healthy Yuka. I genuinely think that nothing short of Chuck yelling 'HOW DARE THEY DO THIS AWFUL, HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING THING?'' would be enough for you.
We can see the sexism in this fifty year old work, we know its there. That is enough for most people.

As much as I have enjoyed some of his rants in the past, I don’t want to hear the same rants every time Star Trek or any other show messes up. He’s already made his point. I want him to acknowledge an issue, which he does, and that’s good enough. Listening to him “get angry” about it each and every time is going to get boring very quickly, and it doesn’t help anything anyway. If someone doesn’t agree with him, they aren’t going to change their mind because his voice gets louder.

Also as others said, the worse of Trek has been done now. They are the worst, in part, because they are the most offensive. “The Enemy Within” had issues, but it was mild compared to, for example, “Unexpected.” A more mild offense should have a more mild reaction.
