Predicting future scores!

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Predicting future scores!

Post by Yukaphile »

Yeah, figured this might be an interesting thread.

Um... I'll go first. I'm gonna say Chuck will rate "Pathfinder" a 7, given that it's a good episode, and Neelix doesn't appear, so... wait, scratch that, make it an 8.

Anyone else got an opinion?

Just remembered, Neelix DOES appear. His part was so small, though, he might as well have not. Oops.

So, a 7 it is.

I only guess when I watch the review. Listening to his points and having a good sense of what generally detracts or appreciates, I guess at the tail end and judge both what he's bringing up and how I feel about the episode. When I'm significantly off, it's usually because I like the episode for some aspect and don't catch his tone on matters.

Also interesting, the score was coming up for Retrospect and I didn't really have a guess. Turned out to be a 5, go figure.

Well, I think given that "Pathfinder" was a good Reg episode, what he said about Barclay in the finale, and that it rarely showed Neelix, and took place off Voyager and on Earth, a 7 or 8 seems reasonable.

I think "Prey" will get a 6 or a 7.

Hmm... maybe 6-7 for Business as Usual? He has a soft spot for Quark and he gets to show his heart in this episode.

Virtuoso a 5? I don't know.

Hard to say cause I haven't seen these episodes on years, just looking them up on Memory Alpha to refresh my memory.

I think "Hunters" will likewise fall in the 6 or 7 ranges.

Prodigal daughter doesn't seem like a very popular episode. I thought it was fine but, yeah, I think 4 is the highest it would go.

I think "Inside Man" will get a 5. As much as he loves Reg Barclay, I do think he'll say even his generosity has limits, and it's ultimately an episode of a hologram tricking the dumb, gullible Voyager crew.
