Re: I Believe In You
Free speech by principle means I can talk about the merits of socialism pretty much. I don't feel there's much of a development beyond that that makes it some grand virtue that we have to keep affirming that we don't live in Shia rule or something.
I feel like having a public that can officially denounce something as crap, maybe at least as far as speculation is concerned, doesn't seem like much of a regression on the first amendment. I imagine you could get a bipartisan effort that could get maybe so far until polarity starts breaking down as you expect how standard contemporary or traditional government goes. Seems like it might be a good practice for bridging political divides a bit in itself.

Yeah, I'm glad we aren't ruled by Shia LeBeouf, too.

Did they introduce some authoritarian fuckery to make people doubt them? Why should i think MSM and the Academia are guardians of freedom?BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 7:03 amAmidst the many institutions we have between journalism and academia in a country that pioneered checks and balances.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 6:53 amTyranny has many faces.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 11:04 pm I don't feel there's much of a development beyond that that makes it some grand virtue that we have to keep affirming that we don't live in Shia rule or something.

Access to the institution of knowledge is invaluable.
