Krypton series on SyFy?

Just came across a youtube video on a possible Krypton series to air on SYFY. It is very early in the development stages since it hasn't officially been ordered yet. It is going to follow Kal El's Grandfather who finds out the planet will be destroyed and his conflicts trying to convince Krypton of his findings. A trailer was leaked the other day showing the premise of the show. I don't think the leaked trailer is out there anymore, but here is a video showing an analysis:

It looks like it's in the DCEU canon. I like the DCEU, but I prefer Supergirl's take on Krypton.

Yeah, it will be produced by Goyer, who wrote Man of Steel. I am not sure about the premise though, because it seems kinda like Gotham except it is in space.
