What do you mean? That idiom is completely unfamiliar to me.

All I know about crows as far as symbolism is that they're considered to bring bad luck when you eat one.

I haven't tasted one, but my dad grew up on a farm. I dunno about today with our far stricter gun laws, but 50-60 years ago farmers were allowed to shoot them. Nasty things crows, they'll attack anything given the chance.

Now that the topic has hovered over crows a bit more generally, I'd like to posit that in reading up on them a tad from video topic on Facebook, they're a peculiar social species. I've known for a while from Physical Antrho that they're intelligent enough to drop walnuts into the street to be opened by cars running over them. Then I learned that for instance when one crow steals food from a baby crow they chastise it out of the group.
