It's not a competition.

What happened to the concentration camps we were promised? Now Trump is pushing for other countries to decriminalize being gay. I thought continued homophobia was going to be another of those Star Trek predicting the future things.

And I'm starting to think I should never have invested in electro-shock companies.

So Darth, did you shit on my rare piece of good news in a generally grim time as an exercise in sadism, an attempt to shock me into learning something about myself, as a form of petty minor revenge, or a little bit of all three?

Technically that second one would probably just be a factor of the third.

Just pointing out the obvious, as far as I can tell.

I still fully expect an attempt at repeal of gay marriage one of these days. Trump is old and homophobic and he lies. I don't trust anything he says. Could be worse, though. Could be Ted Cruz in power, and he's way more homophobic. Didn't he blame some hurricanes on gay people?

No excrement was intended. Surely trying to push toward decriminalization of homosexuality isn't a bad thing just because Trump does it? I hope?

For a country that prides itself on freedom, you do have a lot of problems with race and homosexuality. Proposing an Anti-LGBT law would have got you laughed out of Parliament twenty years ago here. You certainly wouldn't get elected; in fact one Prime Ministerial candidate in 2017 - Mr Tim Farron - had to choose resignation over being pushed after it emerged that he though gay sex was obscene.
