Pro LGBTQ laws outpaced anti-LGBTQ Laws in 2018

Clearly this country needs more libertarians in office, as we would fully support LGBTQ rights as part of individual rights in general. ;)

decriminalization of homosexuality isn't a bad thing just because Trump does it?
Was any of that responsible for any of the anti-anti-LGBT legislation? Trump is pushing for decriminalization of homosexuality in other countries, as I said in my first response in the thread:
Now Trump is pushing for other countries to decriminalize being gay.
Nowhere did I give Trump credit for any anti-anti-LGBT legislation achieved.

Proposing an Anti-LGBT law would have got you laughed out of Parliament twenty years ago here. You certainly wouldn't get elected; in fact one Prime Ministerial candidate in 2017 - Mr Tim Farron - had to choose resignation over being pushed after it emerged that he though gay sex was obscene.
You have some points, but you also need to remember that we aren't the country that forced Alan Turing into chemical castration.
Half a century ago. The fact that you are marvelling that your pro-gay laws are NOW outpacing anti-gay laws implies that we are talking about today.

Persuading other countries to decriminalize homosexuality isn't particularly pro LGBT legislation. It's not legislation for one since it has to do with bilateral relations between countries and has nothing to do with policies of our own sovereign territory, and the T in the acronym isn't really involved.

In other words, if the push for global decriminalization of homosexuality doesn't turn out to be like the denuclearization summit that Trump tried to pull, then that's a good thing. Doesn't mean much in our country as far as pro/anti LGBTQ policy, but it would be good as a product of our strongarm diplomacy.

Good point. When UI said that Trump wasn't behind any of the legislation, someone might have been confused and thought he was behind some of the legislation. And when I said he was pushing for that in other countries, someone might have thought that I meant this country.

In that case I misunderstood you. I apologize.

Okay, that's fair.
