There is plenty of crazy to go around. I fail to see why i should watch out for almost anyone or that the extremists are more likely to be criminals.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 8:15 pmBecause they tend to set their houses on fire to emulate hate crimes or unload firearms on to groups of people in a non-terrifying manner. I mean surely you wear a seatbelt when you drive a car despite never having been in a potentially fatal accident?Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 9:06 pmThere is plenty of crazy to go around. Seat belt = looking out for extremist, car accident = said extremist.

Depends what they're extremists on. And politics is one of the most supercharged subjects of any public discourse. So, do the math.
"A culture's teachings - and more importantly, the nature of its people - achieve definition in conflict. They find themselves, or find themselves lacking."

Well socio political matters. Politics itself is quite boring. It's like the difference between Fox News and C-SPAN.

All crashes are bad and whist a seatbelt might not help, or you might be fine without it, there's still no good crash. Not everyone who holds views that could be labelled as extreme is a risk though (at least not personally, if they got their ideas carried out the wider consequences may be).BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 10:48 pm

And that's sticking with the usual labels. Any very strongly held opinion is arguably extreme although the ones that are fundamentally opposed to violence are unlikely to cause any direct personal threat.

Ah yeah, Nihilism being one of them.
I suppose I was cherry picking with the term a bit, but part of the condition is that the actions they taken are considered to be extreme as well. That doesn't necessitate violence, but it is a generally suggestive way of putting things. Also not that such methods are never understandably warranted in society, just to make clear on my part.

I've actually never seen the John Wick movies, but I liked Face Off. I don't think I really disliked MI2 per say, but I was a bit disappointed with it as a follow up. I like suspense and am a fan of Brian DePalma's style.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 11:48 pmAre you from John Wooverse or the John Wickverse?BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 10:48 pmI mean surely you wear a seatbelt when you drive a car despite never having been in a potentially fatal accident?Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 9:06 pmThere is plenty of crazy to go around.
