Anyone else notice the contradictions? For example, at one point he goes on about how Trump didn't want or expect to win. Yet later on, he claims Trump would do anything, including colluding with Russia, to win. Both of these things cannot be true.

I honestly see this shit in the same light as the birther nonsense.

Humans are contradictory creatures, and doublethink is something a lot of people, including myself, engage in. I could buy Trump didn't want to win, or expect to win, given that being President is lots of work, and it would put him under a very uncomfortable microscope into his business dealings, and that he thought Clinton would be a shoe-in, but that on the other hand, his ego demands nothing less than to win, to be the best, because he already thinks he is and wants to convince everyone he is.

I watched the whole thing live. It definitely reaffirms a lot of the same feelings I had while watching the Kavanaugh hearing, regarding the utter lack of regard for the entire system some of the most powerful people in our country have. Absolutely insulting.

That's how his assertion reads to me as well. It's possible to take on something as a lark, never expecting or caring to win, but still care about how important the act of winning is to your ego. It's consistent if the position doesn't matter, but your self-image does.

And at this rate the Democrats may well help get him re-elected...

I find that anyone who stands behind Trump after he's stolen money from a children's charity to pay off a prostitute is....well a bad person.

I think Cohen claimed the payments to Stormy were still being payed to her after she had broken the confidentiality agreement, so anything connected to that I'll be taking with a mountain of salt.

@Admiral X I could buy that too. They're making unrealistic pie-in-the-sky promises and moving too far left. It's going to scare those in the center. Especially if they make Sanders their mascot.

 I think it might say something as well if you construe my statement as being support for Trump.

No, it's more a general statement of despair. Not aimed at you, sorry.
