You're defending double standards with "context?" Really?BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 11:14 pm And words are words.

1) Whether you care or not is irrelevant. You asked who ''they'' are. I gave you 107K of them.Sir Will wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 6:24 pmYeah I've seen that corner of YouTube. I also don't care what those babies think. And yes I think them babies if they're getting upset at that. Again I ask you: Black Panther? Were you up in arms then too?clearspira wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 1:18 pm1) Can the potty mouth. To a much lesser extent, she also came and and said that she wants people to donate tickets for ''underprivileged'' girls to go and see the film. Which 1) Annoyed people because, y'know, there are ''underprivileged'' boys that can't see the film either
2) Go onto Youtube and find one of the many high level creators that are talking about it and have comment sections full of agreeing voices. I'll give you one to start your journey with: ComicArtistProSecrets. 107 K subs. You're welcome.
Interesting. How do you feel about affirmative action?Admiral X wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 11:55 pmYou're defending double standards with "context?" Really?BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2019 11:14 pm And words are words.

2) Why are you bringing up Black Panther? Do you think that these two films are comparable?
I think that if there are girls that so much as feel discouraged from engaging in comic-centric circles because they're girls, then what Brie Larson was doing in question is quite admirable. I'm not of the mind to worry about double standards over a movie ticket that's for sheer entertainment value, where the perceived benefit is a bit more distinct from one group to the other. Though I guess technically you could say that "underprivileged" by itself is selective, even if on a generic level because you didn't consider those other facets mentioned.
I find it to be discriminatory. And I've directly benefited from it, incidentally.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 1:29 am Interesting. How do you feel about affirmative action?

Until our society stops treating Caucasian as the "standard", whether consciously or unconsciously, it's a necessity. Kind of like black history month, which was implemented for reasons of the same nature. Ideally we shouldn't have such programs, but it's needed for now.Admiral X wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 6:36 amI find it to be discriminatory.
