Okay they made Mirror Phillipa into an even bigger Sue. She will be leading the Federation and pull off the full Daala.

Last episode was kinda enjoyable besides that.

Watch, they're going to go nuts with this and then pull some kind of reset button at the end of the season.

Yuka, please seek professional help. I mean it.

Advocating armed violence against people for making a TV show you don't like is beyond inappropriate, and frightening.

I was JOKING. :o

If you knew anything about me, you'd know I abhor violence, and all the mass shootings getting out of control infuriate me, that I always emphasize with the victims, and this would be no different, assuming something like that happened.

Guess you could argue it might have been a tasteless joke, in which case, I apologize.

Now I feel bloody pissed that I've become so controversial, I can't even make a deliberately dark joke that Chuck has indulged in before without people thinking I'm being serious. I have far left friends who joke about elements of society they don't like being thrown in the gulags, yet they're very anti-Stalinist, so I know they're not being serious. Like I said, if you knew anything about my position on gun control and my outrage over gun violence in this country, then you'd KNOW it was not meant as a serious disparagement. Makes me feel as if it's pointless being on this forum.

No it's not. You left an impression on people with your various incarnations here and people are going to judge you by what you said before and that's a bed you made for yourself. Just be self-aware about yourself and your actions.

Well, others have admitted I've made great improvements, and yet, what's the point if for every one step forward, others see me taking two steps back?

That's just his opinion, based on what he knows of you and we hardly ever have a full picture of the people we meet, even if we meet them more often. Beyond that, why would you care about what he thinks? You don't need someone to acknowledge you, because ultimately there is just one person into whose eyes you have to look for the rest of your life and that is the guy in your mirror.

Also: He misread a cursory joke you made. What gives? No reason for self-doubt there at all. Words convey a lot of things and there are even more things that words don't convey. Misunderstandings happen.

I don't think you're terribly controversial, but then I have a rather dark sense of humor myself. I often wonder if people like Durandal_1707 are essentially joking themselves when they say things like that, or if they really are that humorless. Hard to tell in current year. ;)

I think part of it has to do with how over the top you are with things, you tend to fixate and seemingly get visceral about a topic that some other people don't care about as much. It wasn't really a matter of the darkness of the joke, just that you carried the topic so far into that territory.
