He's an idiot so that doesn't surprise me at all.
He might be actually right considering ESPN and what they did to Star wars.
He is pretty edgy. Though I don't actually know what you're referring to here btw.
Fucking ESPN got all woke and shit...

Just curious, you know that woke just basically means aware of social issues, right? There's not much room for pejorative as far I personally can tell.

Based on how they are in charge of the Left at the moment there is plenty of room for pejorative.

So ESPN changed in a big way.

He's not wrong given the front that the Captain Marvel team is putting up for their movie vs the lack of virtue signalling from the Alita team. Of course Alita is actually a pretty decent movie, too, so it's worth watching anyway.

The problem with coining a non-specific buzzword to describe something about a movement is that it makes it really easy for those who disagree with it to assign their own meaning to the word and use it however they see fit.

Yeah, it's kind of a buzzword for praise. But I mean I just don't see anything detractful in what it describes. I guess I could see someone using it ironically, but that wasn't really the case here.

edit: Or yeah, I guess he was using it ironically.
