I think the left does tend to engage too much in "virtual signaling" and that some members on this site have a bad habit of it.

I don’t doubt some so it for show, but I find the term abhorrent because it presupposes that nobody is earnestly virtuous or earnest in standing up for ideals, that there’s only ulterior motives behind them.

So no answer on who was being specifically referenced?

I gave an answer considering I speak Yuka.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 8:26 amYuka gave you his answer: he LOVES all women of color.
Virtue signalling I think tends to happen by the meek on the left, and the pandering on the right. More on an beta/alpha consideration respectively.

So just more racism and sexism from those who claim to be against it - got it.

@BridgeConsoleMasher I dunno, I could list some examples, but that ties into some of the issues I've had on this forum in the past I want to discuss less of - because everyone's sick of hearing about it. So I'll just hold my tongue.

Can you at least try to factor in the concept of punching up versus punching down? If not, then no, it's not really a "got it" situation.
..What mirror universe?
Re: Captain Marvel: The MCU's First Failure?
The "punching up" argument is just an excuse used to justify bigotry.

That actually doesn't really describe the concept, but of people that might abuse it, which isn't really the case here as far as film concept and criticism establishment goes. So..... yeah not really a justification of bigotry.
