It's weird how you had movies in the 90's like Wedding Singer that totally retro'd the 80's, but the 90's itself seems like it's just been the backyard of up until even today.

Well it's understandable that people mean ethnicity or maybe culture. While race is an outdated term scientifically, it tends to be interchangeable with at least ethnicity.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 9:07 pmCorrection: there’s only one race.Darth Wedgius wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 5:37 pmSo the only race you know of whom it's OK to discriminate against are white people. We can easily mock Trump for his silver spoon upbringing, but you can’t really do the same on Korea’s leader unless outside his domain.I only live in the US, I don’t know the intricacies of other cultures in different countries like I do on my home nation.
And right, while economics wouldn't really be the only consideration, employing averages as acute measures don't really serve to dismiss other factors.

I guess there's not much else to do during the VFX credits waiting for the final stinger.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 9:07 pmI also checked to see if I still have a penis after seeing the flick and am happy to report it’s functioning well.

Man... It almost seems like the latest entry in the most consistently good and profitable film franchise in history has turned in another success.
It is almost like the entire thesis statement that opened this thread is incredibly stupid.
I am not saying it is.
Just looking at the evidence.

I like that in the midst of this post hype progressive movies world there's pretty much no consistent narrative surrounding the quality of this movie. What once was first world sexist/feminist duality with Ghostbusters has come to this with a whirlpool of positive, average, and not tentpole material reactions coming out.

So nobody's racist? Can we drop all concerns about racism now? I’m curious, do you live in the US?
On topic: I saw CAPTAIN MARVEL and.... it’s alright. Neither top tier or bottom. Perfectly adequate entertainment, which is SOP with Marvel films. I also checked to see if I still have a penis after seeing the flick and am happy to report it’s functioning well.
Yes, I do.

I honestly doubt it. Most of the normies aren't aware of any controversy, and they're going to go to it because it's a Marvel movie. If there's any real blowback, it'll be with the next movie, kind of like how it went with Star Wars and Solo.LittleRaven wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:52 pm There is 1 type of failure that matters - financial.
I have absolutely zero idea whether or not CM will fall into that pit.

Secondly, the next movie is Avengers: Infinity War. I have a feeling there's not really going to be any noticable 'blowback' from this movie (if there's even any at all).
