Sound off on 45
Re: Sound off on 45
After banning transgender people from entering the military I lost what little respect I had for 45. If people want to serve our country and do it honorably let them do it.

Even if they are in a wheel chair or mentally handicapped?
It only applies to post ops that take hormone therapy. In the same way you can't join if you have diabetes we can't guarantee we can get your pills to you. You can't join.

She is dead politically. New Dems will throw her to the wolves.Yukaphile wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 1:29 am Yeah, the media successfully pushed the "deranged mad power-seeking woman tyrant" image with her in the largest-scale character assassination in history to the point even people who voted for her like Fuzzy didn't even like her. Someday, we should remember their blatant lies and slanders with the shame it deserves as a society and a people.
She will be remembered as war mongering, arrogant, cold, elite protecting witch she was.

I worded what I said wrong, I meant if they are able to serve and willingly want to do so.Antiboyscout wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 4:09 amEven if they are in a wheel chair or mentally handicapped?

Anyone who can physically do the job and is mentally stable enough to do it should be allowed in.

Isn't one of the factors involved with the ban the mentally stable part?

This study by the American Academy of Pediatrics claims trans youth have a significantly higher rate of suicide than cis youth. Don't veterans already have high rate of suicide? Seems like a risk multiplier on a group level. I'm no expert, but I don't think being in the U.S. military should be treated like a right. You have to be generally qualified to join and as a group it appears trans people are more likely to be mentally erratic and a danger to unit cohesion.

Thank you for posting this so I got more info. The way the news was saying it made it sound like Trump wanted them banned because of their life choices.Beelzquill wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 1:51 am Isn't one of the factors involved with the ban the mentally stable part?
