If there were literally any other option that actually worked, then I would gladly take it. But as it is, I have no idea WHAT to do other than: Say nothing (which lets X spread his lies freely and pass them off as fact), say things politely (which presents basic facts about ISIS and Islam against X's bullshit as if they were equally valid and drives me up the wall with X's thickheadedness), or get angry (which gets the facts out there, in some form, gives me catharsis, and has been shown by people like the idiot we currently have as President to work).

I don't like being angry, I hate the way reading X's calmly-stated lies makes me feel, I hate that people can believe such obvious horse shit unironically, but I honestly do not know what else to do.

If he bothers you that much and he, at the same time, doesn't give the moderation grounds for removing him from the board, then I think what you should do is: Do the Yukaphile. Well, I've tried reporting X and others in the past but nothing's come of it. The thing is, neither of us has threatened the other with RL harm, so it's not like we're putting the board at any legal risk here.

Tried that. I've binged the entirety of old Trek on Netflix multiple times (and if I have to see "Precious Cargo" one more time I'm gonna put my balls in a vise and tighten it all the way), even tried Discovery (which is only pissing me off more), tried playing video games but Invisible, Inc. is even more frustrating than XCOM and I'm bored of CK2, et cetera et cetera.

Besides. If I don't put the facts out there, who will? if someone doesn't bother to do even the most basic research and point out lies when they're spoken, the liars will get to decide for us all what's true and false, right and wrong.

Feel free to leave. I'm honestly kind of surprised that Star Trek has any kind of attraction to someone like you which would have brought you to this forum to begin with. Trek was all about trying to find understanding and peacefully coexisting, so I can't really see what the attraction would be for someone as hateful and quick to accuse others of racism and the lack as you are. @Worffan101 Wow. Not even I've reported anyone in the past - except those name-calling, insulting me, or what I thought was breaking the rules. Like SSJGodGoku hounding me and dropping the "F-bomb" slur on gay people. I don't want anyone here banned, not even ABS, and he and I will NEVER agree on the same thing. I tend to think like Chuck, that a healthy degree of differing opinions is needed. And you really can't just completely shut out the right wing either. I have no problem with the moderates, it's the hard-liners on both sides that are the problem. Like it or not, they are people like us, with their own feelings and dreams and hopes and motivations. We need to try to understand, rather than judge and condemn and punish. That's happened way too often in the past and in recent history and I really wish we were past it as a species.
