Yeah, I'd agree with that. Me is an interesting character, and well acted, but the writing for the character could be better, especially in regards to consistency about the character.

I think the point is that she essentially lost any sense of identity and couldn't relate to other people. Any actual name would diminish that sense of isolation. She was directionless and didn't care. It's in contrast to The Doctor, who chose a name to go with the purpose he chose. It might have made sense for her to choose an actual name for her later appearances.

Her name makes sense, but it's hard to connect with such a character when even the audience has trouble saying it. It's linguistically awkward to call her "Me" all the time.
