Who would win? And tbh, I know at some point, given their upgrades over the years, the single Dalek would take it. Ability to fly, shields, can disintegrate bullets, etc, etc... and then there's the fact that "We would destroy [five million] Cybermen with just one Dalek!" So, there you go. My question is at what point in Classic Who do you think that stops being an issue? That the Dalek wins and stops losing to a single SAINT Robot, from Short Circuit? From what I've seen in the beginning, both Daleks and SAINTs have their own DEWs, but no shields. So it really might come down to who is faster. The problem here is that Daleks are sentient beings while the SAINTs, with the exception of Number Five, are programmed bots that take orders. So... that could hinder them.
I dunno, what do you guys think?

It is certain if you went back far enough the Dalek would be vulnerable to the weapon of a SAINT robot. Did K9 ever face and/or destroy a Dalek himself? If so that is when a SAINT could hurt one. But the threat the Daleks are is they would likely commandeer the SAINTs and turn them on their creators.

True, but I'm wondering at what point? I mean, they used mats and mud to blind a Dalek in, um... "The Daleks" and in "The Chase" one fell over the side of the boat and literally fell apart in the water, lol. That's as bad as getting taken out by mud.

Crappy old Dalek from Classic Who - anyone's game.
Modern Dalek - no contest. Remember the Order of Skaro vs a million Cybermen - and the Order just casually shrugged off everything? Yeah.

The Dalek timeline's a godawful mess any way you look at it, but I feel like you could infer - from the presence of the Dalek Emperor at least - that 'Remembrance of the Daleks' is thematically the latest point in their Classic timeline (even though it's in the 60s, and 'earlier' Daleks conquer Earth a bunch of times in the future; they have time travel, let it go). And they're still vulnerable to eyestalk shots at that point - granted Ace takes it on her own initiative to use an anti-tank weapon rather than a rifle, but it seems the vulnerability to conventional 20th Century weapons exists. The SAINTs can presumably be incredibly precise with their lasers, so I don't see why they couldn't make the same shot.
One on one I feel like the SAINT will get the first shot in - Daleks love rolling in and barking EXTERMINATE and shrugging off enemy shots before getting to business, at least until they realise they're not invulnerable. En masse things get dicier for the SAINTs, since they don't seem like they're armoured in any way that would count for anything against a death ray - at the least, Daleks can blow each other away (or themselves, given some mirrors and poor impulse control), nothing the US military was turning out in the 80s is going to help. But the SAINTs are, theoretically at least, robotically precise, coordinated, and efficient, whereas Daleks are pretty chaotic combatants. So basically a squad of unarmoured methodical snipers versus a bunch of macho lunatics in tanks but with their heads stuck out the turret hatches - the SAINTs could conceivably, given detailed knowledge of what they were up against, manage the engagement to maximise their kills, but all it takes is one Dalek pinpointing their location quick enough to lay down suppressing fire for things to go very very badly for Team Actual Robot.
I'd suggest it's possible the Special Weapons Dalek isn't vulnerable to eyestalk shots - at the least, its viewports seem much less of a target - so if the Daleks have brought him along, that might be good night for the SAINTs.

Most detailed explanation I've ever seen. O.o You put real thought into this. I'm impressed. Thank you.
