New format for videos chuck should try

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

New format for videos chuck should try

So my idea is where he compare/contrasts two episodes from two different series that have similar elements or formats. For example a comparison of how different series handle clip shows or episodes featuring non-main characters like TNG "lower decks" and Stargate's "The other Guys"

Sometimes that could be a way for him to benefit from episodes he's already viewed and researched. If he did that with two episodes he hadn't covered, though, it might be close to double the normal work. But it'd be interesting, regardless!

Chuck's formula has worked for 15 years. I would not want him to fart about with it.

I could see the appeal, see which show does a concept better. Especially relevant when you have TNG-lite The Orville going head to head with Neo-Battlestar Discovery with some saying they are taking potshots at each other (like the lighting jab in one of the more recent Orville episodes) or ripping off things like the Orville's elevator scene. Very similar concepts drawing from the same source material, very different executions. Be interesting to hear what about either gets right and what they get wrong in his opinion.

Could even compare similar episodes like TNG's Code of Honor and SG-1's Emancipation in how they are terrible together but I'm not sure what Chuck could do with that beyond say "this is terrible, this is terrible, oh god why am I watching these, where is the booze?"

Though he does seem to prefer judging things within their own body of work rather then comparing them so I'm not sure how open he'd be to doing comparisons.

doesn't he already do themed weeks/months on occasion? tbh things would get a bit predictable if he did it all the time.

When it works, don't fix it.
Self sealing stem bolts don't just seal themselves, you know.

He's done this from time to time with things that are closely linked, like the Dune adaptations, or DS9 and Voyager's mutual 30th anniversary episodes. He also tends to end up with theme months, sometimes planned, sometimes accidental, and makes comparisons then.

So its something he already does in small doses.
